Hiking, Camping and all things natural!!!
Today's theme being sneak peeked from Karen Foster Design is Nature (Hiking, Camping, Leaf Peeping, the great outdoors, etc.). We are a big camping family and our kids are just over the moon about it. My 6 year old wakes every morning once the new year hits and asks "Mama....are we going camping today?" Too bad living in NE does not allow us to camp year round.
To enter today's contest to win your own set of products from the Nature Collection, please leave a comment on my blog by 11:59pm MST on Friday, Jan 23. You can see even more great ideas on how to use these products at Jen Gallacher's blog also.
Here is a close up using the new corner brads.
This line is very versitile, you can use if for any outdoor activity that you may do with family and friends. In this layout I cut the patterend paper on my Cricut and created my one die cut paper. I used more corner brads and some stickers to create this fun layout of one of our many hikes.

Here is a close up of the stickers. I backed them with cardstock from the collection and then attached them with pop dots to give them dimension. The camping charms are so darn cute also.

I thought this layout was really fun to do. It was super simple and worked up very quickly. All you need a is a scallop punch, some nature stickers and of course....corner brads. I love to plan craft projects while we camp and this layout shows some of Gail's handy work while die dying.

Here are the stickers that come in this collection...how fun are they.

Karen Foster DAy 4 Sneak Peaks
But before you take a peak at my work we need to get to the best part of the sneak peaks - the giveaway - you can enter today's drawing for a set of LOVE themed products by going to Wendy Inman's blog and leaving a comment before 11:59pm MST on Sunday, Jan 18.
Here I used some new Loopy Bradlines and some of the new Love Timmings Ribbon (btw...I am in love with this ribbon). The stickers are wondorful and have a lot of nice images and sayings. As you can see below I did not even have to so a traditional LOVE layout with the Love line of products.
Here is a close up of the stickers, bradlines, and sparkle brads.
I used more sparkle brads on this layout and layered the flower stickers for a 3 dimensional effect.
Close up of some stitching, and some of the stickers that I backed with black cardstock to make them pop! Pop dots for dimension and some sparkle brads for some bling.
This layout was fun also. Gosh, I just love this paper. The cream with heart flower bunches is just so sweet. I could see lots of spring and easter pages done with this. Also, pair it up with the Baby Girl Line and you could really get creative.
Here is a close up of my own flower bunches made by layering the flower stickers with some punched out flowers from the Love patterend paper. I used scrappers floss as my stems to finish them off.
For some additional projects using the Love collection, please visit Alice Golden's and Jen Gallacher's blog.
And while I welcome and enjoy comments on my blog, in order to enter today's contest you need to make sure you leave a comment on Wendy Inman's blog by 11:59pm MST on Sunday, January 18.
See you tomorrow to share some more samples from yet another theme! BTW...I will be doing the contest tomorrow. So, make sure to stop by.

Day 3 of Karen Foster Sneak Peaks
We are "Cruising" today with this fun and funky line from KF. I tried to get creative with some of my page themes with this line for this time around. I just finished a mini book for KF with this line last month and like and idiot I did not take any photos. It will appear in a mini how to book they are putting out at CHA...so check it out there.
This is my favorite layout from this line. The photo does not do it justice. I wanted to use the Cruise rub ons as the focal point on a layout and these were perfect with my photos. And the stacked stickers in this collection are awesome. I could not wait to use the sunglasses. I love they way the give a little something to the rubons, I think they really round out the layout.
Super simple to do and you get the great effect from the rubs but still get the focus on the photos. I think the KF rubs would be fun to use in this type of layout for any collection. Give it a try.

Close up of the glasses...are they just the cutest?

For this layout I used some photos from the Jet Boat Tours we took when we were in Canada last summer. The kids had a blast, it was Grant's 7th bday, but Daddy did not. Too much choppy water for this guy.
The stickers from the cruise line were really fitting for this layout, even though it was not a CRUISE like folks would think.

This next layout was really fun also. If you have evern been on a cruise you know when you come back to your room there are towel sculptures on your bed. I had to do a layout of all the fun ones we had greeting us when Gregg and I cruised last June.
I love the anchor paper in this line. It goes so well with so many themes I think. Don't you love when you can buy a sheet of paper and know there are many uses for it? I sure do.

A close up of one of the stickers that I added to my page with popdots.

For the Karen Foster Contest, and free give a ways for today, you can visit Josée Rouleau's blog. She has some really neat layouts using this line. Don't forget to leave a comment and you could win a really cool prize from Karen Foster. (International ladies and gentelmen are free to enter also)

This little tag book uses papers and stickers plus some of the cutest ribbon from the new Baby Girl line. It was super fun to play around with all the girlie funsies in this collection.

I gathered up the ribbon on this layout to give it some texture. I think it really pops from this page.
On this layout I punched out flowers from patterned paper and added a few small brads to the center, atttached them with pop dots for dimension. I did the same with the butterflies and then added some stickles glitter glue for a little sparkle. Some clear overlay stickers give it an added touch.

I will have more to show tomorrow. Go on over and visit these ladies, Tania Willis' blog, and Josée Rouleau's blog, and check out what they have done with this line. And don't forget to visit Alice.

Working On My Karen Foster CHA Goodies!
I was working like a nut today on some of my Karen Foster projects for CHA. On tap today was the new "Sweet 16", "Nature" and Field Hockey lines. Thank goodness my cousin Karen's daughter just turned 16 and is a star field hockey player. YAY Krsitin...thanks for being so talented and gorgeous. I am pretty happy with how everything turned out today, too bad I can't show you anything until they are finished at CHA.But, I did think it might be fun to show off some of my old KF work and also some Technique Tuesday layouts I have done in the past.
Up above is Grant at his First Communion last May. These stickers and ribbons are part of a new line by KF that is all about love. I figured this type of layout would get me brownie points with my mother....see Ma!!
Look at how cute my little Grady is in his football helmet. I look at him now and just can't believe how big he is getting.
This is a wine journal I did for KF about two years ago, one of my first projects I did for them. It was so fun. I drew the bottle shape by hand and cut the front and back covers out with my xacto knife. I was thinking though and did make a template for the next time I do a wine journal....lol, whenever that will be.

This layout that I did for TT last year was really fun. It ended up being about 3 inches high off the page. Yup, try packing that up for shipping without destroying it.

And another TT layout...
